Signal Cert Ltd. manages certification and testing of rail traffic control devices by:

  • Signal Cert Certifying Body - certifies devices for rail traffic, which are part of the structural subsystem of "control", track-side and on-board devices. Signal Cert Certifying Body works in accordance with the requirements of the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17065 standard.
  • Testing Laboratory for Rail Transport Control Systems and Equipment - conducts research of rail traffic control devices for certifying body, as well as for external customers, which aims to obtain approval for the exploitation. The activity of the laboratory is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.

The laboratory has a long-standing tradition, with over 50 years of experience. The accreditation certificate No. AB-516 issued by the Polish Center for Accreditation serves as a proof of the level and scope of services performed by the laboratory.

Signal Cert Certifying Body, in cooperation with the Testing Laboratory for Rail Transport Control Systems and Equipment, and other external laboratories, provides certification services of railway devices, which allow to apply for the timely/unlimited admission approval for the exploitation or to release declaration of conformity with the type. This approval for the exploitation is granted by the Office of Rail Transport. The accreditation number: AC-194 of the Certifying Body was assigned by the Polish Center for Accreditation.

Signal Cert Ltd. aims to impartially and reliably undertake activities based on independence and professional services.

Signal Cert Sp. z o.o in a consortium with the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing from Poznań, they are implementing a project co-financed from European Funds entitled Research and improvement of electromagnetic compatibility for railway traffic control devices and rolling stock.

The aim of the project is to develop technical guidelines that will allow to achieve an appropriate operating environment for railway traffic control devices, which are particularly vulnerable to interference from modern rolling stock in the form of magnetic / electromagneticfields.
